Diving concludes, meet records fall as Navy carries momentum into final day

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The 2026 ECAC Open Championship crowned its Divers of the Meet on Saturday, while Navy expanded its leads in the pool. The women of Navy head into the final day of competition with 597 points, while the Midshipmen sit comfortably in first with 724.
 
A day after taking second in the women’s one-meter dive, Navy’s Claire Ellish earned first in the three-meter, doing so with a score of 275.50. Jacob Vinarub of Bucknell finished atop the podium in the men’s one-meter with a finals score of 288.30, with Penn’s Jack Handelman (253.70) coming in second.
 
Handelman and Lily Barrett took home the Men’s and Women’s Diver of the Meet honors respectively, with both finishing in the top two in each of their diving events on the weekend.
 
Navy wasted no time adding to their team total on Saturday, with Georgia Andrew, Corinne Warriner, Samantha Aguirre and Ana Fleming teaming up to win the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:42.32, holding off a strong effort from Fairfield. The men of Navy followed with a win of their own in the same event, as Luke Lamb, Noah Robinson, Alex Park and Henry Cain turning in a finals time of 1:26.78.
 
Marley Barnard gave Navy their third straight event win to open Saturday’s action, producing a finals mark of 4:25.87 to win the women’s 400 IM. Four Midshipmen finished at the top in the men’s race, highlighted by Jaiden Sreenivasan’s meet record time of 3:47.84.
 
The women’s 100 fly saw Anna Vlachou give Rutgers their first win of the day, as her time of 52.29 was enough to take first place. Alex Park (47.29) narrowly held off teammate Lamb (47.31) in the men’s race, as Navy took six spots on the podium.
 
In the women’s 200 free, Ruitong Zhang of Penn came away with the win behind a finals time of 1:48.98. Navy’s Kellan Pattison followed with a first-place time of 1:35.68, holding off Columbia’s Ethan Zhang.
 
Warriner (1:01.84) and Barnard (1:02.43) gave Navy a 1-2 finish in the women’s 100 breast, with Bucknell’s Hanna Bingley (1:02.54) rounding out the top three. Aguirre (53.30) and Robinson (53.92) finished first and second respectively on the men’s side, followed by Matt Raudabaugh (54.30) of Bucknell.
 
Charlotte Holliday (54.75) of Penn took home the women’s 100 yard back crown, with JMU’s Madison Wimmer (55.88) snagging second place. Joe Hayburn of Loyola set a meet record in the men’s event, turning in a first-place time of 44.69 to hold off a trio of Midshipmen.
 
The women’s 800 free relay saw the Penn group of Olivia Safarikova, Caroline Cancelmo and Maggie Straley and Zhang produce a finals time of 7:25.29, seven full seconds ahead of second place. For the men, Aguirres, Pattison, George Ivascu and Sreenivasan came away with the title behind a meet record mark of 6:33.13.
